Ok, so I decided to mix up my game a bit more. I was playing the 10-20 NL for the last 5 months, and I had been killing it. But I was getting bored, so I decided to go back to SNGs for a while. Prior to this month, I had not played any sngs since early July. I have to tell you all that I have seen some changes in game play at the 215s.
Few things I have noticed:
1. People call late- with tons of trash..... J9o, K8s for all their chips. Completely insane.
2. Much harder to run the bubble as chip leader. People are calling again, w/ anything. I had a guy where everyone had 1500 chips (except I had 5500), 150/300 blinds, call my shove with K3h..... I had K6!!!! I mean that is insane. He was UTG +1, and I was UTG!!! Blatantly atrocious play.
3. Many more fish!!!!!! Of course there is always fish. But some of these guys are just so bad.

I have played a total of 202 SNGs since my return and granted it's a small sample, but here are my results.
24 1st 11.9% $24,000
28 2nd 13.9% $16,800
34 3rd 16.8% $13,600
116 57.4% $-

202 100.0% $54,400

Entry Fees $42,622

Win/Loss $11,778

Per STT $58.31
ITM : 42.6 %
ROI : 27.1%

I'm pretty happy with these #s. Willing to answer any questions you may have. Good luck all!

You missed "e-penis" becoming an accepted term on the forum.

Meanwhile, everyone else is bitching about how hard the $215s have gotten since Party nuked the skins. Also based on small sample sizes, of course.

In other words, business as usual.

Trying to answer your question regarding the calls near the bubble. Reading on multiple forums and watching some poker on TV (the same as an average SnG player) it seemed to be that the strategy when you got to the bubble with a big stack was to constantly push and force the smaller stacks to put their whole stack (and any chance at prize money) at stake. Pretty soon people realized that with Ax or Kx they usually had one live card which is enough to stand up to the bully.

They're definitely not easy. But there are still a zillion donks in there. I really wish they would add a $300 SNG or $500 SNG on party.

I was gonna ask why you'd take such a pay cut from crushing 10/20 to play sngs again...I guess I see why now. Forkin A, nice run.

I may have played like 5-10 total after the split.... started focusing solely on SNGs last 10 days.

And last month we had 3-4 people (all running bad) talking about how hard the 215s had gotten. Not much has changed, if you're running good and winning flips/getting hands/sucking out, you're going to think they're easier. If you're running bad, losing flips/getting shat for hands/getting sucked out, you're going to think they're harder. There's still lots of 8+ tablers diluting the "donk pool," if you're lucky enough to be playing when it's just donks, don't be fooled.

Play 5,000 of them, and then make an assessment one way or the other about how much more/less they're beatable than before. The looser calling of pushes while good in some respects, can also make life much more difficult for the big stack/or when you're FE is about to be lost and you need to push crap to steal. It probably jacks up overall variance (having to win more showdowns, similar to an LAG-infested LHE game vs. one where you can steal a lot of small pots).

I'm just now beginning to realize how significant this is. Especially during off peak hours the number of 8 tablers greatly influences the difficulty of the $215s. Once in a while I'll have a night where by coincidence there will only be a couple of 8 tablers playing and I have the fish mostly to myself. Other nights table selection is pointless because there are at least 3 extreemly good SNG players at each table.
