122 player online no-limit tournament. 100-200 blinds, 53 left, 20 get paid. I just moved to the table and I'm on button with 5900 and AQo.

UTG makes it 500, he has 900 left, MP calls the 500 and has 4300 left. Action on me.

Small Blind has 1200 after posting 100 small blind, Big Blind has 1800 after posting 200 big blind.

How much does the situation change if:
1) I have AKo or
2) I have AQo but the MP caller folds, so it is just a 500 UTG raise to me?

Thanks for any thoughts.

In most situations like this, unless I knew something about the two players, I'd fold. In NL I HATE AQ, suited or not, against a raiser, unless that raiser is either desperate or a wildman. The cold caller does not help the situation look any better to me. I'd pass.

Now with AK, in the situation you mentioned, I'd definitely go all-in over the top.

If it was just UTG I would probably play considering he only has 1400. I've seen too many short-stacked people raise with crap in EP like A6s to let this one go by. I would probably raise the minimum to discourage one of the blinds from tagging along since I want the raiser all-in anyway, although if one of the blinds comes over the top you'd have to fold this.

With the MP limper involved I think I would choose not to get involved at all.
