View Full Version : Why do I have to make an international call?

I got a message on my machine the other day from someone at Party Poker. I think it was regarding my affiliate account (tough to understand as they guy had a thick accent). In any event, they want me to call them back at +91 98 85 02 7898. What the hell is that? I'm assuming it's an international number (is +91 a country code?). How much is it going to cost me per minute to call these people? This sucks.

+91 is the country code for India! The customer support capital of the world.

I think I figured it out -- I dial 011 (for an international call) 91 (which is India) 98 85 02 7898 and get charged out the ass. Is this right?

Homer what do you need help with exactly about the affiliate program?

I don't need any help. They won't pay me until they get some information out of me (why they can't use my Party information I do not know). I tried calling -- a voice said wait for operator. Then it rang about 100 times and I hung up. No answer, no voicemail, nothing. My calling card went from 1000 minutes to 956 from a 1 minute call. So basically it's costing me 1.50-2 bucks a minute to call there. And they don't even answer.

Sme thing happened to me, i used their live help and asked for a 1-800 number and got one. (I had moved and they said my number didn't work.)

Best of luck getting to anyone tonight, I'd wait to early tomorrow...

I am really getting ticked off now.

-- They aren't returning my e-mails sent to affiliates@partypoker.com.
-- They aren't answering their phone in India.
-- Live help tells me to call the 800 number.
-- They aren't answering at the 800 number.
