I'm a winning 10/20 player and want to move up....but I'm concerned because the games I'm winning at are ridiclously easy.

so where should I take my shot?

15/30 at the Belagio or 20/40 at the Mirage?

Haven't played in the Mirage 20, but when I was at Bellagio last month the 15/30 was really good.

I have. and poker bob said the games there last time were suppper tight. like tight enough that you can just steal every pot...but not 'good' in the sense of loose passive etc.

Add a 0 at the end of the 15 and 30 and maybe we'll see eachother in a game at the bellagio.

The 15 and the 30 are both good games generally at bellagio from my experience. NOTE: My experience is about six sessions, so take it for what it is worth. Also, dont be afraid to ask the floorman to move you to a different game if you feel the one you are in is not good. There are always several tables of each, so, if one game is bad generally you can find one that is better.

I reccomend you play the 30 at bellagio, though.

Of course I am fairly suicidal with my BR and my willingness to go broke or triple up, so, maybe you should just play the 15.

I got a thing in the mail today from Wynn, and i'm going to go out there in about two weeks to stay in a resort room for free for three nights .....(read: SWEEEEEET) and i'll be trying the 40-80 there and the 30-60 at bellagio. If any of you guys want to say hello in person and meet the only and only txredman, well, let me know.

The folllwoing are from my experiences in Nov.

The 20/40 game at the Mirage is riddled with local nits. They play very tight, honest poker. I got drunk and started opening blind if it folded to me in the hijack, as stealing the blinds was simple.

The Bellagio 15 games are loose and easy and glory. I would play them before I played at Mirage again.

Good luck with the 40/80 game at the wynn.. Game barely runs! I was there last week and they only had 1 game of 30/60 running and it died a couple times. Maybe on the weekend they'll have it running but not sure. But yea the bellagio 30/60 game was really good.

I just got home from Vegas...And to be honest pretty much every game I played in was good, including the Mirage 20-40. I tend to not subscribe to the "the games are good here and not here" theory...It all depends. I mean, you get one drunk guy and two typically good regulars on tilt, and the "tough" game is now good.

That said, I prefer Bellagio because it provides the opportunity of greater table selection...The most I saw was 2 20-40s at the Mirage last week (and usually only one), as opposed to 3 or 4 30-60s at Bellagio.

How is the 150-300 game? Who generally plays in that game? Does it run regularly?

okay, I played in the 15/30 at Wynn last night, and except for a ridiculous very first hand of the evening that cost me half my initial buy-in (as posted elsewhere) it was a very enjoyable and profitable evening.

The game was very loose, mostly passive, with an average of 3-6 people seeing a flop. I bought in for a rack (and a half) of red and walked away with four racks after about 7 hours.

I won the biggest hand of the evening when my set of tens cracked both AA and QQ with four people seeing the river and multiple raises all the way. $900 or so in that one - woo hoo!

thanks to all you "big-timers" for recommending various games around town. I appreciate it.

Nope. Whenever I go (which isn't very often...like once a month) I start an interest list and only twice have we got a game going.

Game quality wise? It really depends who was in it. When the table got more full in the morning it was a much tougher game than when I played HU and 3 handed. They were decent enough players but I think playing the amount of aggressive hold-em I've played online boaded really well for me.

It was really fun to play in a live game where the stakes really mattered and play my absolute hardest.

to be honest, middle limit game selection only really matters before 4pm. After that, there are good games everywhere. Personally, i always liked bellagio because of the 2/3 structure creating more post flop play compared to mirage. but you will find loose passive poker everywhere.

If you are first jumping into the new limits, go on a Friday or Saturday evening. Either the $20-40 at Mirage or the $15-30 at Bellagio are good games. Like others said, Bellagio has a better selection as Mirage usually only has 1 or 2 $20-40 games going. If the games are not good, change tables....Mirage still has $10-20 and Bellgio has several $15-30 games. If all games suck, just roll over to the other casino.
