Funny how so many Americans take pride in their Anthum and flag but show so much disrespect for others.

I agree. very disgraceful behaviour. My apologies to Canada.

well, neither link works.

but im guessing the link goes to a pic of the candaian flag desecrated by a dumb american. i guess im sorry. i certainly don't have anything against canada. i know and love several canadians.

however, flag desecration is lost on me. i don't think a country is hurt by the desecration of its flag. i think desecrating a flag is kinda dumb, but only because there shouldn't be as much power in it as it seems to be given.

You have to copy the entire link and then paste it into your browser address window.

what happened was the Piston's fans booed during the Canadian National Anthem when the Piston's played the Raptors the other night.

The article doesn't refer to this, but the same night, Canucks fans booed during the American National Anthem before the Red Wings-Canucks playoff game.

Being proud of our USA is great, but what kind of low-class jerk would stoop to booing another's national anthem. America has too many classless slobs of poor taste, IMO...(and they probably were also swilling cheap watered-down American beer in plastic cups along with their 56% fat hot dogs;-)). These are probably the same guys who don't wash their hands after using the restroom--who cares if they make someone else sick, anyway.

America truly is great but there are too many in our country who are sadly lacking in culture and manners--it shouldn't be that hard to treat others with a little respect, in our country or out of it, American or foreign.

Absolutely not. I didn't mean to imply that we should, or that what happened was appropriate. The booing was tasteless...on both sides. I guess if you want to get technical, the Wings-Canucks game actually started after the Pistons-Raptors game.
