no read on villan, just wondering if I should defend this?

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/club.gif.

Final Pot: 1.67 BB.

I don't think so. Calling raises out of the big blind with weak holdings against early position raisers is a standard mistake of losing small stakes players, in my opinion.

A raise from early position, with no other money in the pot? No, this is a clear fold.
