View Full Version : Waking up REALLY hungry?

11-20-2005, 02:44 PM
Lately this has been happening to me, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'll wake up after a good night's sleep and feel like I haven't eaten in 24 hours. You know the feeling where your stomach hurts? Yeah, that. Even though I ate a lot the previous day. Any ideas on how to make this go away?

I'd suggest having breakfast.

I'm this exact same way.

To the op, I've heard smoking curbs hunger. Maybe you should take up smoking. Or eat dinner later. Or don't sleep for 12 hours at a stretch.

I completely agree and don't eat breakfast either. Lately I've been having a smoothie until I'm actually hungry because it feels more like food when you ingest a lot.

i hate to suggest what they look like - but they are about the least appetizing things i've ever seen.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but didn't want to invest any more time to find a more appetizing breakfast. I've been too busy flaming the drunks in the DUI thread.

Even the toast looks a little bizarre. It looks like only the middle portion was toasted, and the toasting process turned it orange for some reason.

I guess if you're going to eat turd sausages, the orange toast is the least of your worries.

ive noticed that when i eat a big meal the night before, i wake up a lot more hungry, and vice versa. id assume its because your stomach expanded from the big meal and the food all got digested

Waking very hungry as a new symptom is often a sign of being pregnant. Get it checked out, just to be sure.

If you have a cat, I suggest to you that you may have a tapeworm. The cat spreads it. The tapeworm is eating your meals and like many parasites it is most active at night.

On a related note, this friday I ate dinner at about 6PM went to the casino and went straight through until I got home at 8PM saturday while only having one small bag of peanuts to eat. Although I had about 10 coffee and 10 cokes inbetween, my meal of chicken schwarma and rice when I got back felt like it was going to rupture my abdominal lining. But in a good way.

I'm the same way. I can't eat if I woke up less than an hour or two ago. I still feel hungry and my stomach feels empty, but I get food in front of me and I just sit there and stare at it. I used to never eat breakfast, even though I love breakfast food, but lately I've been making myself a parfait and toast or something similar two hours after I wake up and been eating it.

I've had that kind of hunger, and other weird intestinal things and wondered if worms or a tapeworm could be the reason. Strange rumblings and extensive moving and bubbling, etc.

Then I actually saw a tiny worm in the toilet one day, crawling around on the rim of the toilet bowl like a tiny white anenome with its base stuck to the bowl. And I did have cats for years.

nothing like some sphincter worms to ruin your day. Did you get medication for your little guests?

I got the gut parasite pills from the Colonix guys because I was worried about maybe having parasites. A few weeks after taking them regularly, I saw that little white worm crawling up the side of the bowl.

I don't know if they're all dead, but I do feel better, and don't get the feeling of being bloated that I used to be getting. I'm going to keep taking the parasite pills for a while.

I tell you, it was disturbing to see and think about, that there might be worms running around in your gut.

But it was even scarier think about having them there and not doing anything about it. My guts felt really weird and I suspected something had to be wrong. Then I got seriously sick at the beginning of this year and was pretty incapacitated for a couple months. I still don't know if worms were the cause or not.

You want a real yuck, a friend of mine went to nursing school, and each of the nurses was assigned to a small group that got one corpse to dissect. She said almost ALL of the corpses had worms in them. Sometimes big ones in the guts, sometimes long skinny ones in and around the muscles and weird places like the forearms, etc. But she said just about every corpse had them, lots of them had a whole lot of them, and they're a lot more common in people than we think.
