Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I could not find it with search or in the FAQ (sorry if I missed anything).

What is considered a decent sample size of hands to judge my playing ability off of at NL cash?

10K hands.

for any REAL accuracy... 50k

After about 20-25 you should have a good idea.

Real accuracy after 50k hands? I don't think so. Should give you an idea though.

10k hands is enough unless your winrate is low (like <5ptbb/100).

Assuming std of 35ptbb/100, so your std of 10k hand is about 3.5ptbb/100. If your winrate is 10ptbb/100 after 10k hands, you are almost sure your long turn rate is positive.

Yeah right. I lag fish can run hot for over 10k hands.

That it's enough to be fairly certain you are a winning player doesn't mean it's enough to "judge your playing ability". And that standard variance is about half as big as mine.

I agree this is statistics measure. You can certainly convince yourself long before that by judging the player level.
