this movie came out about 6-8 months ago and was basically overlooked. It is now out on DVD/video and I recently saw it. I think it is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I highly recommend it.

I saw it when was on the big screen and agree with your assessment. Steve Buscemi never misses. Btw: if you haven't seen "Crumb," a documentary on the cartoonist which was also directed by Zwigoff, head back to the video store and rent it!

well, if you've ever seen 'trees' lounge' you know that he missed once. but other than that, he's pretty damn cool.

And is it just me, or is that redneck at the liquor store one of the funniest minor characters I've ever seen in a movie? Ranks right up there with Jesus Quintana in 'The Big Lebowski'.

you should try some of the writer's comics. You can find them online in many places.

I was going to mention that character in my above post but forgot. Do you know the name of the actor who played him? Whoever he is, he is a scene stealer with the skills of Paul Giamati (Pig Vomit in Private Parts) or Luis Guzmán (Traffic). The only one who possibly could've played him better is Jim Carrey.

I really enjoyed Tres Lounge, as did my girlfriend. And, I believe, Buscemi wrote and directed it as well, so you have to give him some props.

i was thoroughly disappointed by it. i don't even remember much of it, i saw it so long ago. i just remember being very unimpressed, and almost felt like it was a waste of my time... but hey, everyone's entitled to do their own thing...
