As a beginner, I just finished a Pacific MT free roll and think I had a bad beat. But I want to know if I played it correctly or not.

yes...that's what this forum is for among other things.

try to weed out unnecessary stuff and give us info like reads on players - use bisonbison's hand convertor if you know what this is...I bleieve the link for it is in a FAQ somewhere.

The most important test is: would you still be asking about this hand if you had won?
Don't post the results and do ask specific questions about what strategy you should have taken and you should be ok.

I should have read yours before I responded. Thanks for the etiquette, I'll be sure to use it in the future.

you can't raise to 600 if the BB is already 600. this is a lame bad beat post.

if you min raise 2 limpers you will get callers with those kind of hands. Raise more and you don't have to worry about anyone with 69suited calling.

right...I need clairification.

is 150/300 the BLINDS? - or is that the limits...cause yes, if if the blinds are 75/150, then the raise to 300 is too small.

Even online, I don't like raises of 4 times the BB anymore if I'm in EP cause it invites too many callers - so I'll usually kick it up to 5 times BB in EP if I have a raising hand.

But it looks like you got your money in with the best hand. You're suffering from Whiskeytown syndrome - where you don't put too much money in the pot cause you're thinking you can trap or slowplay if you just check/call/min bet, and then you bitch incessently at all the rivers and 3 outers your opponents hit...

but if you raise 4 times the BB every time you play a hand, the number of people who run you down will decrease - It took me 3 yrs. to figure that out-

Actually, yes, I'm a [censored] fish - no doubt - blind willie mctell could outplay me....but no, a min raise with QQ is a no-no - go 4-5 times the BB -

Thanks those were the blinds. 2 responses said the same thing, I was passive while I thought I was aggressive.

a good rule of thumb is to raise 3x the big blind and add every big blind for each limper.
so 2 limpers to you raise 5x the BB

outstanding! This is a wonderful site, especially for dimwhits who are just begining. Thanks for taking the time to advise.

Also raise the flop, you should be way ahead, but if he has A9, K9 a reasonable player will slow down if the turn brings an overcard.

Next time post the relevant player's stack sizes as well as that's a very important variable in tournament poker.

Also, try not to post if you're pissed your good hand got rundown, it's happened to everybody. Post hands that you think you played wrong and can learn from your mistakes.
