Very low limit Hold'em (7 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

Villain is SB and rated LPP by PT.

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: (4 SB) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, CO calls, SB calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, CO folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero calls.

Should I have checked, bet or raised Villain's check?

3-bet and call down a cap.

The BB is very tight.

EDIT: 3bet and river an Ace.

Firstly, in this situation this is an easy raise for me preflop. Secondly, I like smooth-calling his checkraise on the turn so he will bet into me on the river where I can pop him.

I'll be weak and offer a different suggestion. Villain could easily be playing 55, 66, or 88 (raise pre-flop to drive this stuff away). We now have villain heads-up. Call him down unless you improve on the river.
