I do. His range is alot bigger than one that would have you fold this IMO. Plus you need chippies.

EDIT: I thought he was CO, not CO+1, which changes things, but not enough for me to fold this.

No. I want at least JJ+ to call here.

Generally, I think this is a fold. Haven't ICM'd it or anything, but it looks like one to me.

God damnit he's CO+2, which makes the call even worse, but I STILL make it. If he's pushing 66+, ATs+, and AJo+, and he's likely pushing more, then it's +0.1%. I do it because I think doubling up is quite valuable here.

You were right the first time, he is the CO. The seat orders are messed up. Button = Seat 9, Hero = Seat 2. Seat 3 and 10 are gone and it's 8 handed. Hero is in BB.

On the bubble, I agree, but this is 8-handed and the blinds are already at 100.

I call.

I think he's CO+1 here, isn't he? My initial thought was that it's a call, but one of those that make you nervous.

i'm pretty sure he's the co, not the co+1 or the co+2. i should have editted that from my quoted post, but i think this is a fairly easy call here. you should a) be ahead b) not be considering the bubble concerns c) be ahead d) find doubling hugely valuable at this juncture.

Easy call. Running out of options, and you're a favorite against his likely range getting better than 13:10.

This is a call, for the reasons already stated by the other people who said call.

11-18-2005, 03:52 PM
Put me down as a turncoat Jakob /images/graemlins/grin.gif, I am always calling this push from the CO when I am sitting with 99 in the BB.

p.s. i thought the hand was totally different because of the mix up with seat postions

Jakob
11-18-2005, 04:00 PM
Yep I was the BB. Don't know what happend to the seat positions /images/graemlins/confused.gif
I called and he turned over A5s, so it was a correct call at that time. But I was very uncertain whether it was standard call or not.
I am now convinced that the call was right.. thank you /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Impossible to say without a read. Hard to put someone on a range of hands when you have no clue what his tendancies are.

so uh, given the information (where he's playing, and what stakes" you make a composite read, based on the tendencies of what you know about the average player at that stakes.

other than that though, your post is entirely worthless and didn't show any signs of reading what was already posted in the thread.

You classify everyone at the same stakes the same way? I find it hard to believe that knowing what he has done the past few hands (whether hes been a push bot, or folded the past 10) is worthless.

This attitude with lead to a lot of interesting discussion around here. Maybe we should have another forumbot who should reply to all posts with "Depends on reads on the villain", then close the thread?

Or maybe the OP could give us a few words on reads, instead of making this an ESPN Holdem or Foldem commercial.

Generally though, I don't mind people correcting my writing. Unless it's clearly done do be a condescending smartarse. I'm norwegian and would think there is a huge room for improvement. But don't make a whole post just to correct someones spelling/grammar. By all means, add on a correction as a btw after actually adressing the original posts content.

If OP doesn't include any reads, it's because he doesn't have any particulary interesting reads on his opponents. And with that read (villain being a typical 55 player) you can actually have an opinion.

Anyway this isn't really hugely read dependent, you are crushing villains range here. So you would have some sort of superread to not make the call here in my opinion. Whats your opinion, other than switching with/will?

Jakob

I had no read at all, that's why I didn't mentioned it.
