View Full Version : 22s - ITM, shortstacked vs another aggro shortstack, call or fold 55?

The other shortstack has been very aggressive ever since we got ITM, pushing probably more than half his hands. Bigstack was very tight, it seemed like he was just waiting for one of us to bust the other. I've been playing fairly aggressively/tight.

Party 22, blinds at 100/200

Button - t1485
SB (Hero) - 1340
BB - 5175

Hero is dealt 55. Button pushes. Call or fold? What range of hands would you call here with?

I would rather fold and push any two from the button than call here.

However, 55 is probably the best hand I fold here. My calling range would be something like 77+, A9+, KQ.

Has he been pushing a lot against both of you, or just when he's on SB and you on BB? He needs much more better hand to push against both of you, so the push range I'm putting he on, this is a fold.

The fact that you're getting run over and the big stack is folding too much makes this a pretty easy call.

I'm not sure about easy, but it's a call I'd probably make for these reasons.
