finding a game anywhere?

Hi all,

suppose you came to a city where you know no one and you wanted to find a Poker game. How would you do it? Ask cabbies? Ask bar owners or patrons?

Any suggestions?

I have heard that Pool Halls are a good starting point.

What if you completely suck at pool?

Actually, might work in your favor since they might figure that if you suck at pool you must also suck at poker.

Not that I suck at pool. I'm....uh...asking for a friend.

There's also, of course, this board. 'course that means you're walking into a game with at least 1 2+2er...

I think there are some yahoo poker groups that might have info too.
