View Full Version : Songs that make you want to drive fast.

I say "No easy way out" By (Survivor?) The song on Rocky IV, when he fights with Adrienne and takes off at night in his Lambo. Also, "Rock N' Roll" by Zeppelin.

Also, what about songs that make you want to punch someone in the face or start a fight in any way? (In other words list a song that you'd play if you knew you were heading to a fistfight).

I say "Back in Black", "Misty Mountain Hop", perhaps "Who Are You?", as well as some Metallica songs.

When I saw the thread title, the first thing that popped into my mind was Radar Love by Golden Earring.

I used to think this song was called "Red-eye Love", and was about people joining the mile-high club on a "red-eye".

I think it would have been better this way.

One time I was listening to "21 seconds to go" and I drove so fast I couldnt stop in time for the upcoming roundabout. Thankfully there were no other cars on the roundabout otherwise I would have been [censored].

Hell Yeah (Pimp the System) by Dead Prez. Hands down. There's three versions (cuz that's how pimp this song is), you'll know when you get the right one.

Black Betty.

and "Relax" ever since I saw Zoolander.

BTW: Any Three Six Mafia song EVER.

Without Triple Six, we wouldn't even have a crime rate to talk about.

"Electra Made Me Blind" by Everclear -

great album opener - great song - great for driving at 200 mph...it's the only album I've ripped to my Xbox for jukebox music on Forza Motorsports.

Red Barchetta - Rush... especially the bolded part /images/graemlins/smile.gif

My uncle has a country place
That no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm
Before the Motor Law
And on Sundays I elude the eyes
And hop the Turbine Freight
To far outside the Wire
Where my white-haired uncle waits

Jump to the ground
As the Turbo slows to cross the borderline
Run like the wind
As excitement shivers up and down my spine
Down in his barn
My uncle preserved for me an old machine
For fifty odd years
To keep it as new has been his dearest dream

I strip away the old debris
That hides a shining car
A brilliant red Barchetta
From a better vanished time
I fire up the willing engine
Responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel
I commit my weekly crime

Wind
In my hair
Shifting and drifting
Mechanical music
Adrenaline surge...

Well-weathered leather
Hot metal and oil
The scented country air
Sunlight on chrome
The blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware

Suddenly ahead of me
Across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air car
Shoots towards me, two lanes wide
I spin around with shrieking tires
To run the deadly race
Go screaming through the valley
As another joins the chase

Drive like the wind
Straining the limits of machine and man
Laughing out loud with fear and hope
I've got a desperate plan
At the one-lane bridge
I leave the giants stranded at the riverside
Race back to the farm
To dream with my uncle at the fireside

The offspring do it to me real good. Average MPH on highway 5+ while listening.

Average 95 mph while not.

I still would kill to get the 2+2 gumball rally going.... I was born for that....

Maybe just a bay side -> ocean side San Fran race?!?!

Nice call on "Highway Star".

I haven't listened to any Iron Maiden in about 20 years, but couple of songs on their first three albums usually got my speedometer dialed up.

I think the Who song is "Goin' Mobile" (watch the police and the taxman miss me)

I second the Red Barchetta.

The jam from Money makes me throttle down also.
