View Full Version : Check/Raise?

Ever check raise someone twice in the same hand (holding the nuts) and get called both times.

On a more serious note, what percentage of time do people like to check-raise? Do you use a general cut-off for the strength of the hand, i.e. set+redraw, etc, or is it mostly situation/opponent dependent?

This seemed like the perfect time; with so many people in the pot someone was bound to make a play at it.

Yes... this is the key. i like the play a lot here, and the turn C/R, too, esp since if it fails, he's NOT outdrawing you (unless he has KK, but... nah) he COULD check behind, but the way you played the flop, it screams: "I'm trying to protect top set and now i'm scared of the flush".

nh.

maybe the repeat C/R is possible more in PLO than HE, where people tend to tread carefully.

You are obviously playing with a complete fish. Nice hand!
