I learned about this through the grapevine...so, I have a short amount of time to figure out how to spend it. I have about $500 that I can add to it personally (I have to buy gifts, too!), so what should I get? I have a Dell Latitude laptop D600 from work right now and I use it at home to play. I have a 2001FP that I got a coulple of months ago that I plug into it. I also have an LCD monitor with 1024 x 1280 resolution that I'm not using anymore (in great shape). Now, I really do like laptops, so I've thought about getting a widescreen high-res lappy from Dell...but I am also somewhat attracted by the idea of creating a poker workstation at home. If that was the case, I'd like to have 3 monitors (2 screens for up to 8 tables) and a third screen for surfing or watching television (as well as PT and lobby monitoring). That said, the high-res lappy might be my best choice.

I just got a 9300 with WUXGA screen, Pentium D, 1Gig RAM, 60Gig HD, Wi-fi, bluetooth, 256M flash memory stick, and case for less than 1300 dollars shipped. This price can't be beat for a laptop with a WUXGA screen. I looked everywhere and could not find an equivalent laptop for less than 1800 dollars.

just make sure that ANY monitors u get are 1600x1200...u can't 4-table (or even 2-table without any overlap) on 1024x1280

I checked this out...did you get it on the regular Dell site, the outlet site, or somewhere else (ebay???). I really like this system and I'm thinking about getting one. I want the full MS office package, however, since I will be starting a professional services business (hopefully) with some poker money.

P.S.- I don't get to write many shameless brag posts...like how some people do about beating 30/60 for 2.5BB/100 /images/graemlins/mad.gif

I got it on the regular Dell site and I used a 30% off coupon that I just did a google search for. I did not get Office beacause I already have it but it was an option to add.
