$33 ...so I suck ITM, please tell me why?

I was 2 for 2 ITM last night (both 2nds), but one of them should have been a 1st and this kills me. I think I only made one critical mistake, maybe a few small mistakes that worked out ok where I completed... Besides the AA hand, can you tell me where I screwed up? 1. Don't complete unless you're trapping
2. Don't let your opponent complete unless you think he's trapping
3. Don't be a retard (see your 62 hand)
4. There's no such thing as a small mistake when you're ITM with high blinds, particularly when there's been a pf raise and the pot's big. Don't make mistakes.

Sorry but I didn't read all the hands only the first few.

Okay first hand you double him up with Q5 when he was extremely short stacked, no biggie there. But the next hand it seemed like you tried to shut out action when you had a good hand (88) and then on the next hand was willing to call his all-in with total garbage hand 49o.

When your opponent is short stacked, be a little more patient and not so willing to double him up with total garbage.

basically your problem this game was that you are willing to call with nothing/bottom pair when ur opp shows strength but u are not willing to be the aggressor when blinds/stack sizes dictate any2 or top75% situations

Several of you have said the 49o hand was a bad call. And I used to muck there. But I assumed I was likely a 2:1 dog, but since I was in the BB, villain was short, I was almost getting 2:1 from the pot (1.75:1 I think...) that is pretty close and that is why I called there. Still wrong?

I absolutely ignored the fact that villain was not aggressive on most hands and I should have respected his raises... A HUGE mistake, thanks for pointing that out.

I often am in push/fold mode ITM, not sure why I wasn't yesterday...

one easy rule of thumb that i've learned from it is that u can push any2 from sb if either opp has 3k chips or less and blinds are 200/400 or more

but u should play around with it to learn models for when blinds are 150/300 and 100/200 (rare hu tho)

I disagree. Folding HU with small blinds compared to the stacks is not great. Folding a mediocre hand in the SB when both players have around ~10BBs is not bad. Harrington talks about HU with big stacks compared to the pot - this is not the case here.

Villain has bet the turn a couple of times and we've folded. And, he hasn't shown much tendency to get involved without something. I'd check and hope that he either hits a little something on the turn or stabs with nothing. It doesn't seem to me like you stand to gain much by betting the flop. (Yes, I realize I could be scared by a club on the turn.)

I generally don't like to slow play sets or lower as I often find that I end up losing...
