View Full Version : $5 - Too aggressive to push?

11-17-2005, 06:17 AM
Table had been making some very loose calls, calling all-ins with QJo, KTs etc...

Is a push here too aggressive?

Reads on GS would be nice. Otherwise, it's fine. Put it this way if all had folded to me here, I'm shoving this most times. But the limper complicates it slightly. If he's just a donk and is limping loads of hands.. well in a vacuum (as this is a $5) I'd definitely shove, because to limp UTG he's got two cards that may or may not be 'pretty'.

No, I'd push this every time. I'd be hoping QJ would call too :]

You have to push here.

Ah, I just looked it up, I see that the limper did have a hand - but I don't think a push is wrong, unless limper has a history of doing that with strong hands, and even then I'd be sorely tempted in a $5 game.

Sorry, didn't have any real reads on GS, just your average $5 player. Limps too much, not very aggressive, etc... So I didn't expect him to be limping a monster.

In that case, this is an easy push for me. His chips just sweeten the deal.

OK cheers all, glad to see I'm playing along the right lines now! Here's the results, no need to pro-long them.

A9o. LOL. What a wonderfully crap call. Unlucky to run into KK there, it happens sometimes, especially the double-suckout. Your move was correct, I believe.. obviously, not if you knew he had KK, but that's impossible.
