Kobe Bryant's Tights

I think Kobe Bryant is an incredible basketball player, but what's with the tights/leggings? It reminds me of Iverson's arm sleeve. Do those things actually work to reduce injury or anything?

they keep the legs warm, improving blood circulation. in the past, bryant would ride an exercise bike behind the bench to keep warmed up.
