(OT) Party just closed both of my accounts and I am out $8,000

So I had recently opened a new account so I could have a new name. Somehow party knew I did this and didn't like it. I have never been logged onto both accounts at once or anything like cheating. When I tried to log-in today it said my account ahd been closed, for both accounts. I am in a panic right now. I got an e-mail saying I can verify my account by faxing a photocopy of my ID, but I am scared my money is gone for good. This is horrible. months and months of playing down the drain in a flash. WOW

Please anyone tell me I have a chance at getting the money back.

Chances are very high that you will get to keep the 8K, whether or not you get to continue to have one of these accounts at party is not so clearly determined.

I say this from previous experience with party.

Of course I'm not making a guarantee, just making an estimate here based on my past experience. Of course things do change over time, there are a million different factors at work and anything could happen. That said, the above is indeed my estimate of the situation.

Regardless of how likely it is that you'll get your money, I think you are entitled to a little panic on this one.

I wouldn't keep more than is necessary in my Party account. You don't get interest for one thing.

When I first started playing I started two accounts, referring myself for all the bonuses. Account got closed pretty fast, but all I needed to do was to call them and they transfered it all to one of the accounts.

If you want to open another account for any reason be sure to mail them first and ask them to freeze your existing account first. It works, I've done it.

similar thing happenned to me, they recognise your ip address, so they know you have 2 accounts.

you need them to wipe out one of the accounts in order to allow you to keep playing
