I don't have a land line, so for dial-up and DSL, the cost of the land line must be added to the cost of internet access.

Far from the cheapest but comcast is running a $30 for the first few months deal in my area. Super fast porn, highly recomended.

It means you pick it up for "free" through the airwaves from some neighbor who doesn't know about encrypting his router.

Best thing that ever happened to my internet connection. Not only am I jacking but I am sure I am just sucking up his bandwidth as we have 3 computers that all of us use to access the internet.

Don't worry, if its not encrypted, there's a pretty good chance he won't notice.

It's so frickin easy to set the router to encript and require a passkey, I don't understand how so many people don't.

I jack someone's when I'm in my backyard because mine's not strong enough back there.

Yeah, but most people jacking the signal aren't that bright, and just look for an unencrypted signal.
