View Full Version : For all Ed Miller SS players, what is typical PTBB/100?

I'm trying to gauge how well I am doing with respect to other players using ed miller SS strategy.

I have played 20k+ hands and am 4 PTBB/100. My biggest downswing in single 3k session was -400BB whereas my biggest upswing was 800BB in 2k period.

Post how well you have been doing over how many hands, what buyin amount, and with what types of variations of the strategy.

Trying to evaluate the success of slight strategy modifications with profit results doesn't work.

This is why we study and talk about the odds, the theories and the EV. Small stakes hold'em is primarily a math game and should be evaluated as such.

Even after 20k, your results don't mean a whole lot.

I'd played 10k hands at 5BB/100 and also played 10k hands at 0.7BB/100. Variance is a bitch.

4 BB/100 is pretty damn high and likely not totally sustainable, particularly if you're playing above about 1/2.

Don't worry so much about results. Focus on your thought process. It's interesting how many new posters are primarily interested in results.

It's not really the "Ed Miller System." That makes poker sound much too easy.

There's a stats post somewhere which someone should link to but I'm too lazy...

-400BB in one 3k session? 800BB in 2k hands? Wow, what limits do you play. That sounds to me like it's WAY out of line...

For what it's worth, I'm 2bb/100 at 2/4 after 33k hands.
