Im having LOTS of bad beats lately..seems like nothing im doing is working blah blah blah.

Anyway, i think the aforementioned beats may be clouding my judgement and i could be getting a tad passive with my good hands. Or on the other hand i could be playing fine and the beats may be making me think im playing badly.

Villian is 36/0/2.5 over a small no of hands.

I think the play in this hand is fine up until the river, easy bet/call on teh river?

I'm willing to take my lumps if he has JJ. I'd cap the river all day long.

I think the river is a pretty easy bet/call. Capping here is spewing IMO. What are we putting villain on if he raises the river?

Eh. - I make a raise and then call if he re-raises, but I don't mind calling here on the river.

I'm definitely betting this river and quite possibly 3-betting

AT LEAST bet/call. It may be I would like to see this capped also. He only called preflop instead of 3-betting, so I dont think he has JJ. Depends on the guy and his style.

I bet/call the river. I think 3bet/capping is overzealous. He didn't raise preflop, but to the best of our knowledge he doesn't much.

Take it for what it's worth - I have a tendency towards passivity postflop, and I lost a sixes-full hand exactly like this a day or two ago.

Yeah, I'm thinking that this is an easy bet/call on the river here too. You're sample size is pretty small and I think a lot of players will over play TP or overpair hands like this in 6-max. While he could have JJ or 33 chances are you're still best here. I'm not sure if this is you're bad beats or not though making you play the river like this. I went on a 80 BB downswing on Friday and I know I didn't play my best either. I tried to shake it off and the last 2 days I made up for it (with a little bonus help). Just take a little break if you need to and go back and play your game.

This is from a small sample size. It would be quite possible for a guy not to get a premium pair in a small number of hands. However, this is at least an indication that he could have JJ. I see a lot of 6 max players who won't raise with hardly anything.

Especially if he didn't raise JJ pre-flop 5 handed. I think you're good here, and I'd cap it.

It would be helpful to know how many hands = a small no, but I think this hand (as OP played it) is fine. What is everyone putting Villain on after he caps the turn? J6? If his VPIP is even close to converged he's not playing J6o and there's only 1 combination of J6s left. And that's assuming he'll even cap the turn with 2p.

A small number of hands = 52

Sorry i guess i should have put this in the OP as there is a big difference between say 10 and 50..both of which are a small no of hands.
