Need iTunes help

1) I have a list X in my library and list X plus list Y on my ipod when I connect it to the computer. How do I put list Y onto my library?

*I've tried 'add file to library' and then went to list Y*

2) I'm at a university and some people have their ipods under shared music. I can listen to all their songs, however, I can't copy any of their songs onto my ipod. How do I do this?

*copy/pasting or dragging doesn't work*

No idea about #1 but for #2 download a program called MyTunes and that should be able to copy shared songs.

Not a specific response, but Ephpod (www.ephpod.com) is a very handy iPod utility.
