I'd probably check behind and call most non-heart river bets...
I'm not sure what I would do if another heart fell. Probably call.. but I'm a donk =].

no harm in checkin

you don't get c/r big by QQ and puts you in a great spot on the river to get value when ahead and lose the minimum when behind

damn you guys are tight. 6 handed I'd reraise preflop and then I'd put it all in on the flop. If I run into AA or better I run into it. maybe the guy has QQh or JAh he's coming along (6 handed) almost regardless of how tight his stats say he is

I legitametely put villin on AA and felt like he had Ah. I even went and bet half my stack on the turn thinking "Well, I won't stick it in cause this way a worse hand can call." I got reraised for the rest of my stack and knew my read was correct, and still called. My reads are starting to become significantly more accurate and I think I need to start listening to my gut more often now. I do however wonder if you people saying "check behind" are only saying this because I posted the hand and obviously something went wrong. I would be curious to see how everyone would play this hand if they actually confronted it.

Thanks for the replies,
-Ace

Check city. I'm probably weak for saying it, but I'm a weak player. Check and call a bluff on the river

Id check behind here all the time. We hate to be raised here.

Check behind especially with a read like that. I find the same thing - I'm getting better at reads but not applying them. Partially b/c this forum is generally "be aggressive, be aggressive, be aggressive". So if I have top two and feel strongly that the other guy hit his bottom set, I'll raise his bet b/c I'm "leaving too much value on the table". Gotta trust your reads if they're going to help.

I can think of a whole lot of hands where Id be more afraid of a check raise than this one.

Can you please explain your reasoning for not repopping preflop?
