I can't remember the last time I was genuinely shocked at the poker table like this.

Mirage 10-20. Guy who has been fairly aggressive to this point open limps. Folded to me in the SB with black 55. I raise, tight BB folds, Guy calls.

Flop is 2s6h8s. I bet, he calls.
Turn is 5d. I bet, he raises, I 3-bet, he calls.
River is 2d. I bet, he calls.

I gather you held 54 or something instead of 55 as you thought????

....the other alternative (much less likely) is that he played his 66 prettty lame...

BTW, I'll be in late Thursday night but I am planning on hooking up with you Saturday. Hope that works for you. If not, let me know via private message on this board. I'll check it tomorrow before I get out of Dodge.

I really had 55, and he did indeed have 66.

I was so surprised when I showed and he didn't muck that I said "wow, nice hand" and really meant it.
