I really think posts like this should be deleted instantly and people that do this intentionally should be dealt with seriously.

Also, is there a way to make your e-mail address private? I really don't like the fact that all you have to do is click on the name to see the person's e-mail address.

Yes, i have d-spam but even that makes mistakes.

If you edit your user profile, there are two email address fields. The first is for admin purposes only. We can see them if we edit the user, and they are included in the emails we receive when people notify us of a post. The second field will show up if anybody clicks on your profile. So if there's no email address there, then no email shows up. I believe it essentially says this on the profile page.

Look for some stuff with daryn at the end of the thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=3922550&an=0&page=0&gone w=1#UNREAD)

wacki and I have been back and forth on irc about this. I agree it's a dick move, but I don't think it warrents a banning without a prior warning. It probably does warrent mentioning that it shouldn't be done again.

ya, I don't think this offense deserves a banning as dickish as it is.

Ok, my e-mail address is private so that's all I care about I guess.

it is a case of abusing the naive, but banning somebody as reasonable as daryn over something like this would be ridiculous. one PM and your problem is solved.

It seems like if somebody goes out of their way to obfuscate their email address, the mods ought to edit replies like Daryn's to remove the unobfuscated version. I don't think this is banworthy though, unless it becomes a habit.
