I need a additional external hard drive

What is my play here? I need a back up external portable hard drive, what is a good price for a 100 gig one? What are the best makers? tell me whatever you know.

Seagate gets good reviews. I have on at 160gb. cost like $1 per gig. You can probably ge one for around $60-80 for 100gb.

I talked with the inspection director at Seagate on an airplace once. I asked him what kinds of drives he used himself.... he said Quantum.

That said, I still think seagate are good drives, especially since Maxtor bought Qauntum /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I have a Maxtor 160g I'm very happy with, and it comes with backup software.
