10/20 NL, 10-handed. Everybody has 2K except for villain who has 1344 and UTG who has 810. Villain is 20/4. Hero has AKo in the BB. 3 limpers to villain in MP who raises to 150. SB calls. Hero calls, 3 limpers call.
Flop (897): A /images/graemlins/club.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif
SB checks, hero bets 600, UTG raises all in (680), folded to villain who raises all in for ~500 more. Hero calls.

I can't begin to tell you what I was thinking betting that flop...how would you guys play this?

I fold it preflop. I dont like calling a 7.5BB raise after another caller when out of position with AK.

This was my first reaction as well. I probably never muck this PF, but I wish I could.

Yep, I muck this. And check the flop, you but OP already knows this... /images/graemlins/smile.gif That Q is disgusting.

Not even if you're almost positive that there will be 3 more callers behind? That's what really got me stuck

Side question how useful do u think PT is in NL? I've never used it.

Very useful if you're not paying very close attention-it helps you spot the rocks and fish quickly, though beyond that it's only useful if you have the time to analyze your stats later.

Maybe Im a moron, but I would even less likely to play the hand if I thought there would be 3 more callers. Youre 2-1 against pairing up and even if you do, TPTK doesnt look so good against 4 opponents.

If you do call preflop, I dont know how you can fold now.

this should be the thing that SAVES you, not the thing to get you stuck. why would you want to play a TPTK-type of hand against 5 opponents, and OOP to boot?

Does anyone like a kamikaze 3-bet pre-flop? If I am the Villain, my range for a preflop raise is pretty wide with three limpers to me.

I DO! I DO! Make it $700 pre.

The other day:

Raise to $45, call, SB 2+2r raises to $175, I push in the BB w/AhKh. fold fold fold. That's not the same but you get the idea.

Yeah - That's a pretty sweet play if all of the image stuff is aligned.

Not sure how true this is online, but plenty of live donks tend to open much stronger regrdless of limpers w TT/JJ/QQ - especially JJ.

i would have folded preflop, but assuming you called here as you did, i NEVER would have bet into 4 people who havent yet spoken, including the pfr - particularly since this bet basically sticks you against his shorter stack. especially since id be scared to death of AQ in this spot...and all of which is just another reason to fold preflop, as this hand is hard as hell to play oop against this number of players with these stacks.

someone else mentioned possibly re-raising preflop, which i think is interesting... but not against villain and his 1300 stack - do you really want to get 400-450 in there preflop with AKo, oop in a 10-20 game?

i think this is clearly one of those rare AK preflop folds.
