Wow. He's finally out from under Barry's shadow. What a great year. Too bad Andruw Jones and Derrek Lee's years will be sadly forgotten in a few years.

Jones's year will be remembered long after Pujols's. He hit 50 home runs, and that will stand out in his stat line. Albert's will just look like another good year in a long string of good ones. Do people remember Willie Mays's MVP award season any more than other years? No, because he had such a long string of great years.

I was hoping Andruw would win it, and thought Derrek Lee deserved it. Pujols is a fine choice though.
