View Full Version : $5 - Blind stealing vs big stack?

Apologies if this hand is boring, or standard. But I'm really trying to improve my game here. My image is fairly tight so far, lost a fair bit of my stack due to a big pot lost with a 2pair against a strong 2pair. Am I short stacked enough to be blind-stealing here? Table was rather loose so I wouldn't get much of a chance to steal like this again, but I'm pushing against the big stack whose calling range is pretty large here. Do you still push or just fold and hope for a stronger hand in the next few?

It's close enough that pushing and folding are both reasonable plays

"rather loose" is swaying this decision on two fronts. expanding thier calling range appropriately is no fun. but neither is getting hit by the blinds again, looking/waiting for those [apparently] limited open-pushing opportunites.

combining your "fairly tight" image with the chance to push across only two players (even though the button push tends to smell a little fishier), i'd probably let it rip. while t225 doesn't change your equity a huge amount, it will give you another couple orbits to look for that better hand on this loose table.
