It's a live web broadcast (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=3942230&page=0&fpart=all &vc=1&nt=1) of a 6-12 game. The players are pretty normal (ie bad), and you can learn a lot by watching them.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've seen a couple of "online flops" since watching. I think this game is rigged. Just kidding in case anyone was about to flame.

Oh wow, I forgot how bad live games are. I need to get back to AC again. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

are these commentators worth listening to? do they actually offer reasonable/good advice? I feel like this is something I could benefit greatly from IF they actually know what they are talking about and if the players have a clue.

I've watched this several times, they seem like they know what they are talking about.

They know something. They're nothing special. I just heard them advocate playing tighter in LHE than NLHE.

I'm amazed at how bad live players are even at this level. I play 4/8 live a lot but I guess I need to bring a couple more bucks and play these games

Well, now I hear them giving a shout out to some comments on 2+2. Apparently 2+2ers have been on this show, including Russ McGinley. Also, one of the commentators said he had just recently read SSH.

yeah, they know some stuff. You might learn something from them, you might not. What you might learn the most from though, is listening to them and scrutinizing their analysis. Also, it's easier to watch than to listen when you're 4 tabling /images/graemlins/smile.gif

One of them just got in a thoughtful discussion with himself about whether a checked AKo from the BB should have been pfred. He eventually decided that the limpers were bad, and usually when people pfr from the blinds they have AA, KK, or QQ so it's good to mix things up a bit.

Well I'm a huge newb, so it's pretty tough for me to "scrutinize" their analysis, haha, but clearly I see how important value betting is, something that I struggle with. I read my books daily and look at the forums daily, but there is nothing like hearing commentary like this and actually watching the thought process of people.

These players are awesome. Some guy just paid off with K high.

Sorry if this has already came up but I just started watching-- I recognize Shant (from here alone), but who is the other 2+2er?

edit: Nevermind, it's all said in the other thread--that was cool watching though

Yeah, I caught just the last five minutes. Reading the other thread gave me most of the fill-in info. Thanks, though
