View Full Version : Skip Bayless: Vasher's 108-yard TD return was dumb

"He could get hit, drop the ball, and a 49er could pick it up and score a touchdown!"

By that "logic", shouldn't every play consist of the QB kneeling the ball? Can't take that chance that you're gonna fumble!

Die Skip.

Skip Bayless is the worst televison "personality" I've ever seen. A complete waste of flesh, he has no talent at anything. It makes no sense that he keeps getting writing jobs let alone TV.

I find him ot be one of the more irritating columnists ever, yet I continue to read him. He gets a reaction every time. So I guess people like me are the reason why. Sorry, I'll stop now. I've been meaning to for a while.

Bayless always writes unconventional things for the sake of writing unconvetional things. He is essentialy a pathological arguer/ [censored].

You must not have ever heard Bob Davie do color commentary for a game.

Bill Walton comes to mind as well.

Skip Bayless is my least favorite ESPN "personality." The guy is just horrible.

(Jay Mariotti is close though.)

Skip also said that the niners should not have tried to kick the field goal and that they should have just kneeled out the clock. What an idiotic comment

My hate for both of these guys is huge. They drive me nuts.

The thing that upset me the most about the T.O. fiasco is Skip Bayless called it dead on. He said in the preseason, that T.O. would wait untill a critical part of the season, fake an injury and generally sababtoge the whole team. Bastard.

FWIW, saying that Vasher play was a bad idea is really stupid. There isn't one guy on the field that is even half as fast as him. If he fumbles he can rundown whatever 300 pound lineman picks up the ball.

That's not as idiotic a statment. It was a 52 yarder in a monsoon. The chances of it going in were very close to zero. However, taking a knee is just as stupid, they should have tried a hail mary instead.

I agree with that, a 52-yard field goal into the teeth of a hurricane isn't smart. Kneeling the ball is retarded.

Also, this was on First and Ten today, not his column.

Hahahahaha, awesome picture. Mariotti looks like the stereotypical slob sportswriter. Chump.

Nedney had already knocked 3 FG's of shorter distances right down the middle (one taken off the board due to penalty). He dealt with the wind better than the other kickers/punters/long snappers & QB's.

This was not a bad decision to let him take a shot, seriously the chances of a block returned for TD or a play like Vasher's to happen is pretty low.

I can't believe that there are people still willing to pay this man to say/write things like this.
