Banksy - UK OOT TALK TO ME

So for those not in the know Banksy is considered a legend in the UK. A sort of US-Andy Warhol clouded in mystery. I have been familiar with his work since last year but Esquire got me thinking a little more about him (regarding the article the last two paragraphs are THE WORST!!).

For those UK OOT'rs, I would be interested in your thoughts on a man some consider a legend and has received a sort of rockstar status.

I have never heard of him

He is really quite famous.

He has been derided for basically being a good self-publicist, althought this allegation could be made at most modern British artists.

I like his work, it has a nice sense of fun & humour

Is this the same guy that hung his own painting up in a gallery as well? And if it is didnt he push a pea or somthing around london with his nose?

I'm not from the UK, but I love Banksy. I think he is a genius.

You should check out the west bank stuff on his site. Beautiful imagery and some amazing stories. He has a good sense of humor and he's pretty bold with the placement of his artwork.
