i log in, and see the list on the main index. it's the same as the day before. i click on a post that had red numbers(new) and it's the same posts ive read. it's like it's not updating.

i used to be able to hit 'index' after a post and it would take the red numbers off the thread showing that ive read or looked into that thread. now it doesnt do that at all. it'a as if ive never read it. this has just started happening recently.

anyone else have this problem? any suggestions?

thanks in advance...

bernie its just you i think. you may not be getting logged in or something. does it show at the bottom that you are logged in. if not thats your problem, if so you may need to shoot your computer.

it says i can post. and i have...in a roundabout way.

but say after i post. i go back to the index for that forum, and it wont show that i posted there. however, later on, (next day) it will be on there...

when i checked out this thread, your initial response didnt show up under responses until i clicked on the thread.

and i still cant get to my homepage. even after i log in several times. i can check whos online, and it shows me online...but when i go back to the forum, it's as if i just logged on with no new changes, still showing new posts (in red) that ive already read.

talk about a bad streak...

thanks for replying...

I don’t know, never had this problem. Try re-posting on the Internet Forum. I’m sure you’ll (gulp) get some help there. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Bernie, if you use Internet Explorer, under Tools/Internet Options, and delete your temporary internet files. Its on the first tab in the center. You may be constantly pulling up cached versions of the pages causing this to happen.

Although as Ray said, shooting your computer may be the answer.

i went into internet explorer, as you suggested and checked it out. i deleted my temp int files but i found something else...

under the settings there are some suggestions for checking for newer versions of a page. (top of settings page) it was set to 'never'. could this be it? i changed it to 'everytime to visit page'. not sure how it got switched to never. ill blame it on a porn site /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

anyways, ill see how that goes.

thanks again and here's hoping that it works...

i thought about just trying a new name on here. (last resort) but ill keep trying other stuff for awhile...
