Reads while waiting to post my blind in LP: UTG+1 looks weak-tight. BB looks like a typical loose/bad player.

Paradise Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif. MP2 posts a blind of $2. Hero posts a blind of $2.

River: (7.25 BB) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
BB bets, MP2 calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10.25 BB

I suspect people will tell me to raise the turn & fold to a 3bet. I think that line is way overblown in this forum lately.

The river card means that all crappy Kx are chopping, but I don't think I could actually get a K to fold given the turn/river action.

You can raise and take a free showdown, no?

i don't think calling down is a big mistake nor a huge tactical success. the pot is small, but i think you should probably just call down. You're likely splitting with one of the others and you should just go ahead and let the loser pad the pot for the both of you.

does anyone bet the flop here? we posted, so we could have anything. and this is one of the ugliest boards i've seen in a while. i have to think a flop bet folds the field 20% of the time here

Just because people may overuse raising the turn doesn't mean it's incorrect here. If BB has something like AQ and the tight guy has a flush draw or something it's vital you get their money while you still can. It's an easy fold to a 3 bet unless you have a different read. Causing the tight guy to make a mistake like folding the best hand, or folding a live draw is another benefit.
