I often get to the situation in big tournaments where I decide that I need to go all-in on the next playable hand. My idea of playable in a NL tournament is an Ace or a pair. But often I sit there and just don't get an Ace or a pair or there has been raise already in which case I fold marginal hands. I don't want to call all-in - I want to raise all-in. The longer the drought goes on the lower the requirements get. In the end I get desperate and say to myself any two cards that look promising but still I can't find a hand.
How do you cope in this situation? Do you make bluff raises on the basis that you might not get a real hand? If so, are they made on particular cards like suited connectors?
