It's close. I probably would. I don't see why he wouldn't lead out on you on the river there with a hand better than yours. He is risking you checking behind.

From my past experience if people online have a good hand they are firing at you on the river, not checking or they'll fire if they miss a draw. Checking is if they have a semi/weak hand or if they just feel the need to give up the pot with you because they are done with trying to bluff at it.
