1- does anyone know if you can play starcraft over a crossover connection between two XP running laptops?

2- is it easy to change the hard drives on the Dell Inspiron 6000?

yes you can play starcraft on a lan. i'm not sure if it supports direct tcp/ip or not though, you might have to use the ipx protocol.

the second question greatly depends on how handy you are with such things. physically it's not that difficult to get in and out.
