Yes. If you think people are going to come over the top of you with less because they think you're stealing, have the courage to go with your hand.

Uh, yeah. Did you want to get value from your hand or not?

What's with all the overbets all-in?

Thanks, I will try it.

I could not think of a way to get value from this hand. Hence the donkish overbet. If the flop come with a card higher than my jacks, I know I would not have been comfortable calling a bet. I suppose in my stupidity, I went all in hoping to pick up his big blind, and if he called, I would have crossed my fingers and hope for the best.

My thinking here was to get rid of weak aces. As you can see one of the callers was A,6, this was the type of holding I wanted to get rid of, as if an Ace hit the board again, I would not be comfortable betting. As with my overbet into the BB, I was hoping for lay downs, oviously any weak ace caller I am ahead of. I am dominated by 1 hand, unfortunately for me, I ran into it.

I thank you for your comments, and welcome more.

Stacks are pretty big still. 4-5xBB should be fine. If he calls then you can proceed. Pushing is probably the safest way to play it but not the one that maximizes value.

Thing is, you don't REALLY want to get rid of weak aces. You're happy to see them call because you're a good favorite against them, and the ace doesn't hit the board too often. If you're up against a player you know will play any ace and not lay it down if he pairs, then you probably have to give it up, yeah. But in the meantime you can squeeze a lot of value from players who play hands like that when you have something good.

OTOH, pushing all-in seems to have actually gotten a call from a bad hand, so in that sense it 'worked' (though for the life of me I can't understand why he called with A6s after two all-ins. But those players make MTTs profitable...)
