In my defense after the flop call i put him on a bad to medium ace, on the turn i thought he would fold it if he hasn't hit two pair, this is not a hunch i saw him play A7o the same way 4 hands earlier and turn 2 pair and just call, on the river i make the "AK" bet, i think the river bet is standard? anyone check here?

I thought this would be a more fun thread, anyone who plays a really lag style knows what i mean i think. I really love beats like this because they were totally justified by the fact i put him on a hand and TRIED to get him off it, and instead hit a huge longshot runner on the river

i'd honestly love to see some other peoples longshots come in this thread

I hit crazy suckout bad beats when I'm just firing away with nothing and the other guy is just calling or slowplaying something big and I think it is hilarious. There really isn't any point in posting them though.

Is that supposed to be one of those thinly-veiled "you suck" posts? I don't think OP played it too poorly, and I'd use the same line some of the time.

I agree with edge. OP had a read (a correct one I might add) and played the hand well to try and maximize ev from the player. Given a similar situation I could easily see myself playing it the same way.

but i still stand by 2 things

a. i played this hand well
b. hands like there are funny where a play at a pot with nothing turns into the nuts
