Stars $3 Re-buy, 33 players left. I think I was 14th in chips. I've been at villans table for about 4 orbits, he's PFR and taken a couple pots, as have I. Neither one of us have seen a flop at this table yet.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t16000 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

MP2 (t154562)
Hero (t247451)
CO (t78940)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
4 folds, Hero raises to t48000, 1 fold, Button calls t48000, 2 folds.

Flop: (t102400) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero bets t64000, Button raises to t107538, Hero calls t43538.

My thinking was to make a continuation bet a little bigger than half the pot, I should take down the pot unless he has AQ, KQ, 7's or Ax of diamonds. All other hands I'd think he'd re-raise me PF or fold the flop. If not I'm pot committing myself with 6-9 outs. I also think my bet shows opponent I'm not folding to a re-raise.

When we flip or cards over, 3 guys at the table and a couple railbirds call both of us crazy, idiot, donkeys, etc.

What's your line on this flop? What range of hands do you think villan calls pre-flop & post-flop with?

I'd fold preflop, but other than that i think it's ok.

railbird are dumb. and as a general rule, players who insult others are dumb and/or insecure. anytime you make a play they don't unerstandd they insult you. i notice that usually the better i'm playing, the more often i get insulted by average players. now i just laugh to myself at how clueless they are.

Thanks, I wasn't too worried about the railbirds, more worried about my play. I was just trying to think up a catchy title for MLG and others.

best post title ever. just great.

once you raised PF and got a draw... it's on, and i can't see the action coming down any other way- if he wants to play, it's gonna get all in, weather you bet 1/2 pot, pushed, whatever. with 100k in PF and villian having only another 100K, you have to go with the draw, so you might as wel push and give him a chance to fold.

he could reasonably be playing something as weak as AK- in fack the only hand that has you crushed is two diamond overcards- unlikely.

I don't see anything wrong with this, beginning to end.

Preflop - a nice hand to try a steal with.
Flop - Perfect. When he pushes you have to call 43k with a pot of about 270k. Easy call.
