He's 24/15/2.2 and seems solid. Any input is appreciated.

unless you have some reason to believe he will 3bet you with overs on this board, I don't see why you would cap the flop.

I think the river bet is bad -- what worse hand is calling you? and the call is even worse.

My main concern was exactly the flop cap/turn bet. I thought he was likely to 3bet with overs to take a free card. I wonder if I should have called the 3bet and donk the turn.

Yeah, the river was awful.

strange playback at you...

i like your check raise on the flop, but if the villian three bets then, what could he be worried about on the turn to only call?

think you did right to call on the river...

looking forward to your revealing the villian's hand

No, the river call is really bad. The river bet is bad too. He's not paying me off with any hands I have beat.

It doesn't really matter, but he had A /images/graemlins/heart.gif2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif, which I know, doesn't fit too well with my read on him.

c/r call, then donk turn no good? I don't want him to draw to his overs for free.

man, that was a real suck-out he got!

your call is on the river is was not a problem i think...perhaps a check on the river may have been a better idea, but i would have taken this to the showdown just to advertise that his 3bet on the flop was a misread and he was lucky to suckout...i would figure i am setting up a later hand with this loss

thanks for providing the info...i would not be upset with myself if i played the hand the same way you did...

btw--do you still think the villian is tight if he 3bet back at your check-raise on the flop?

When the solid player 3 bets the flop after you check raise him, I would say it's time too start looking for a fold. I say fold the river to a raise, but I would've just check called since now the pot is big.

Off topic, that link you have on the original post.... I downloaded the converter, but I have no idea where the icon is so I can open it next time. Can you help me with this?

Look for a zip folder called DaveGconverter.zip

It's probably in your program files. If not do a start/search for it. It's the first time I used it and it's pretty neat.

If you still don't find it, you could download it again, but this time specify where you want it to be on your hard drive.
