Cheap safe hotel in AC near trop/sands

Hi all,

Leaving for AC here in about an hour, and looking for recommendations on where to stay (friday night).

We're probably going to be playing near the tropicana, possibly sands.

Could you recommend cheap, SAFE hotels in the nearby area?
Under $100 preferred.

I saw a Day's Inn nearby...any good?

When you get to the Trop ask the girl in the poker room to be put on the list for a poker rate room which runs $89 ($106 after tax).. if you can't grab one of those I stayed at the Sunset Inn next to Borgota for $70 last weekend... It was a dump but cheap.

days inn is fine - try using corporate ID# 62672 for better rates (no it's not my company lol). that code should also work for other cendant brands like hojo, ramada, travelodge etc.

the cheapest mom and pop I know of that you don't have to fear death is The Irish Pub.

You could try staying at the Rodeside (yes that is spelled correctly thats how ghetto this place is) but its cheap and its about a 4 minute walk from the trop... I recommend getting on your knees and begging for a poker rate room first because the place is a real $#!%hole. But if you dont sleep much like me its good enough

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express (West Atlantic City) in Pleasantville Fri & Sat. the rate was 81+tax. My room was a bit small but immaculate and includes a complementary breakfast. I always came and went during the day but the parking lot is well lit and there is no residential near the hotel. Just a few other newish hotels and a private school across the street. About 10 minute drive to the casinos.
