Combo purpose trip to Las Vegas -- where to stay?

Some friends and spouses going to Vegas in Feb (Thu - Sun). A couple of poker players (up to $10/$20 limit holdem), a golfer who wants his course onsite, and some shoppers who want to be on or near the strip. A bonus would be a place with a decent poker rate.

Not familiar with some of the newer places, esp south strip, like Mandalay Bay and Wynn.

Just stayed at the Wynn. The golf course looked incredible and there was no one on it. Got the poker rate at 149 Sun-Thursday and 199 Sat-Sun. 6 hours of play per room.

The Wynn poker room has a lot of 1-3 and 2-5 no limit. Limnit games are 4-8 8-16, 15- 30 and 30-60. They also spread a 10-20 mixed and a pot limit Omaha while I was there. It was a very comfortable room and I thought the service was very good but not great.
