Very read dependent. Against the right opponent it could be brilliant. I wouldn't do it against the standard 55 donkey.

The way villain played it makes look like he has complete garbage so I suspect you won with this play. I think it would have been better to pop the turn to 250 or so. Take it down before he rivers you and it costs you a bit less as well if it doesn't work.

Yes you're right. I didn't think this totally through, just picked a number out of the air that was less than 300.

I take it you agree with my premise though?

I don't think I would have gone that far with no real draw.

But I like the play with your stack size.

I think more then half the time you win in the 55's with this play.

i'm not gutsy enough to pull off this bluff the way you did. the river bet is fine as a bluff, but what happens if a non club hits? check down or still fire?
