Table is pretty wild. I have no idea if I should be raising or folding, so I just call alot instead /images/graemlins/confused.gif

BB is on a flush draw, raise turn to isolate

He bet the flop on a BackDoor Flush draw?

Raise the turn.

For protection and value.

Why not raise the flop for both protection and to see where we stand against the pf 3-bettor?

The hand may have played out differently. Considering how big the pot already is on the flop, I'd want to anything within my power to maximize my chances to win it.

possible, it might not have been his only draw. just speculation.

That's why we are waiting for the turn to protect, our equity goes way way up assuming no scare cards come (And then we have 4 outs to a boat) and their odds go way way down. A raise on the flop gives villains 10-1 to call it.

Plus there's the extra value of the BB vs SB raise.

Ah, good points. Now that I think about it, I don't think that I raise to protect on the turn enough. I must be too eager of a beaver.

Since there are six people to the flop for three bets i would assume some one has AK AJ or AT i like just calling the whole way hoping to hit the straight... otherwise i would assume you were beat

If you raise the flop, gutshots still have proper odds to draw out on you. There are basically no hands that the 3-bettor could have that won't be correct in peeling the flop for two bets, so I don't know if you will 'see' where you stand when he cold-calls.

Considering the size of the pot on the flop, I think you would do better waiting until the turn. Raising immediately on the flop is rarely a large mistake, and I don't think it would be one here, but this looks like a candidate for waiting an extra street because your hand is quite vulnerable and you would be much happier putting in bets with only three broadway on the turn instead of four.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I think a bigger problem for most posters is doing it too much.
