View Full Version : STATS - Button < Cut-off Win-rate

I noticed an anomaly with my stats. My win rate in the button (0.11) is lower then the cutoff (0.25). Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a problem with my game? I posted as I thought that 10k hands is significant for this stat.

I have filtered for 3-6 players.

Small sample size. Plus I think total winnings from CO is usually > Button as you are raised out of many pots PF, but I think BB/hand should be higher from the Button.

It was like this for me too at 50k hands, but at 130k hands, my button win rate is much higher than my cutoff win rate.

Your sample size is wayyy too small to be looking at this stuff yet.

Hey Trent,

Keep in mind that while 10k feels like alot of hands, one's winrate doesn't necessarily converge with any accuracy to 200k+ hands. Now, positional winrate is a fraction of the hands we play...you have about ~1.5k hands for each position, which is nowhere near enough. You wouldn't make any claims about your full winrate over 1.5k hands, like so, it is too statistically insignificant.

Also, .10 isn't a bad WR for the button/ co. .25 is crazy-high and likely an anomaly. If you still have a disparity by the time you've got 50-100k hands it might be time to start looking at your positional play.
