View Full Version : Question for the Magoos - Anyone in 25-30 age range?

As a degenerate poker player I have been reading with great joy and sadness reports of the last Magoo fest. Joy at the fun and games; sadness because I couldn't make it.

I am sorely tempted to join you when Al nails down a date in April however, in reading your posts and pics I notice that many of you are a little younger than I am, chronologically speaking. While I am confident that I am sufficiently sick and immature to hang with you guys(my GF asssures me of this) I would be interested to know if any of you guys are older than 25, or if at over 30 I would get my very own walker in April.

PokerBob is 45, though he looks young for his age. I'm pretty sure jakethebake is a civil war vet.

Al is in his 30's and I'm closing in on it. Lots of us out here are 28-40ish.

I convinced a hot asain chick playing the 30 at the B that I was 30...does that count?

I'm 29 and most of the time was the oldest person by 2 years if not more, but I was running with a younger crowd for the most part.

That said- everybody was staggeringly cool, and despite being old, I never felt old.

Yes. I know- I can seem much younger. The fat throws people off.

You are as old as you feel and act. I have a respectable job, responsible for lots of other people's money, and people listen to my advice, but when I am out I can act like a two year old. Some of my posts hint to this. So if I go in April I will fit right in.

PS. I will be 33 in 7 days.

I'm going to do my best to make it out in April as well...the trip reports have left me drooling. Oh, and I'm 26.

i would be down for that. Since I was born there I think I could convince the wife that I need to go look for my roots.

Where would the lap dances and hookers come from? Are you gonna fly them in?

Don't worry. I'm thinking of going, and by April I'll be in the 25+30 age group. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I am trying to convince my wife I need to attend this important seminar with my poker enthusiast friends in April. I still have some work to do. Any word on the exact date?

Slight problem.
I feel like I'm about 65...but I act like I'm about 14.

the 65 part comes from playing in 2 soccer leagues...after enough games of chasing around a bunch of younger, taller, faster and stronger players I get quite a few aches, etc.

After a game or two, I would probably be wire-to-wire in a walking race with my 90-year-old grandmother (my GF would confirm this).
